Dr. Daniel Connors

Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professionals, Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst) and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professionals

Certifications: Licensed Physical Therapist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USA Level I Weight Lifting Club Coach, First Aid, certified Emergency Medical Responder, and CPR certified. Board certified Sports Clinical Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association

Experience: Before opening JumpStart, Dan was previously employed as a staff physical therapist at The Children's Hospital in Boston, where he worked with a pediatric and adult population. During that time period he was one of the physical therapists for the professional dancers at The Boston Ballet. He has worked with patients of all abilities from birth to adult. He is a lacrosse player who served as a part time boy's varsity assistant lacrosse coach at Acton Boxboro Regional High School for seven years and coached youth lacrosse in Framingham. Dan is currently a youth hockey and lacrosse coach in Hopkinton. Dan has made several television appearances, lectured to his colleagues, physicians, coaches, and athletic trainers on Core stability, ACL injury prevention, transitioning the patient/athlete from rehabilitation to sport, plyometrics, pediatric physical therapy, and functional training. Dan has been a speaker at the national physical therapy conference, American Physical Therapy Association state chapter meetings, state annual conference, and co-authored Sculpting the Complete Athlete for the New Millennium an internet course for physical therapists, strength coaches, athletic trainers, and coaches. Dan has a special interest in treating shoulders and is a member of the Massachusetts American Physical Therapy Association Special Interest Group on Shoulders.

Dr. Jennifer Connors
PT, DPT, PCS Co-Owner
(Board Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist)

Dr. Jennifer Connors has been a physical therapist since 1995. She was initially employed at Children's Hospital, Boston where she gained experience in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. Additionally, while employed at Children's, Jennifer had the opportunity to work in the NICU, Cerebral Palsy Clinic, Myelodysplasia Clinic, and Adolescent and Young Adult Hip Unit. Jennifer joined JumpStart in 2004 where she has continued to work with a wide range of patients. She has developed a special interest in the treatment of hip pathologies including hip dysplasia and femoral acetabular impingement as well as pediatric diagnoses. Other experience includes early intervention and home care services. She is currently the Center Coordinator of Clinical Education at Jump Start.

In 2002, she became a Pediatric Clinical Specialist and is certified through the American Physical Therapy Association. In additional to clinical experience, Jennifer has lectured on many topics including: Cerebral Palsy, and Spina Bifida both at MGH Institute of Health Professions and Simmons College; injury prevention to local communities; and at the National Physical Therapy Conference in 2002 on Pre and Post Periacetabular Osteotomy.

Dr. Ryan Jones

Experience: Before starting with JumpStart, Ryan was previously employed as a Physical Therapist and Clinical Director for a private outpatient orthopedic company in West Palm Beach Florida. He spent over 2 years working with a variety of diagnoses including many sports injuries and post-operative cases. Ryan also has clinical experience working in Gainesville, Florida and Mineola, New York at facilities specializing in general orthopedics. He plans to become a board certified orthopedic and sport specialist through the APTA as he has a special interest in working with sports-related injuries and training higher level athletes.

Dr. Brianna Sullivan PT, DPT, ATC

Brianna graduated from Sacred Heart University with a doctorate in physical therapy in 2016 and a bachelor's degree in athletic training in 2013. She is a certified athletic trainer as well as physical therapist which helped foster her interests in orthopedics and sports. Brianna grew up in Framingham and enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and staying active through running, yoga, and workout classes.

Liana Litsky

Dr. Liana Litsky DPT

Before moving to Boston she earned her Bachelor's degrees in International Diplomacy and Spanish at The Ohio State University. She was a competitive synchronized swimmer for over 14 years and went on to win three National Championships with the Ohio State Buckeyes. She is a devout foodie and enjoys cooking, with dreams to open her own bakery. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, watching all the Best Picture nominated movies, and college football.

Dr. Janey Ades

Dr. Janey Ades DPT

Janey received her Bachelor's degree from Syracuse University in 2013 and graduated with her Doctoral degree from Quinnipiac University in 2016. She is excited to pursue her interests in pediatrics, amputees, dance and sports to help patients of all ages and various diagnoses achieve their goals. In her free time you can find Janey at a workout class, spending time with family and friends or volunteering at Camp No Limits.

Dr. Michael Hardy PT, DPT, CSCS

Michael began his internship September 2016 and became a licensed physical therapist January 2017. Originally from Ashland, MA, he enjoys playing and watching all sports, but he is especially hooked on soccer. He also has a passion for science fiction (novels and movies). Michael hopes to continue to develop his skills working with athletes of all ages as they return to sport.

Dr. Anna Pietal DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy)

Anna graduated from MGH Institute of Health Professions in January 2018. Prior to graduate school, she earned her Bachelor's degrees in Kinesiology and Dance from UMass Amherst in 2015. Anna also teaches dance and choreographs for local theater companies. In her free time, Anna enjoys dancing, doing crafts and being outdoors.

Dr. Michelle Ferretti. PT,DPT,MS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Lehigh University in 1995, Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2000, Doctor of Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2002.

Experience: Michelle started her career at Boston Children’s Hospital, working in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. She worked with infants through adults, gaining experience in a variety of orthopedic, neurologic, oncologic and cardiopulmonary diagnoses. While at Children’s, Michelle had the opportunity to work in several specialty clinics, including brachial plexus injury, brain tumor, adolescent and young adult hip, and scoliosis. Michelle has lectured on many topics, including growth and development, pediatric assessment and treatment, and brachial plexus injuries. She has also been a clinical instructor at the MGH Institute of Health Professions, as well as serving as a mentor for many physical therapy students and interns.

Dr. Meghan Young DPT

Meg graduated from MGH Institute of Health Professions and received her doctoral degree in 2014. She earned her Bachelor's degree in psychology at Fairfield University in 2011. She spent the majority of her youth swimming competitively and was a member of Fairfield's swimming and diving team. In her free time she enjoys cheering for Boston sports teams, going to the gym, and spending time outdoors.

Dr. Micaela Connors PT, DPT

Micaela graduated from Northeastern University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2019 after earning her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology at the University of Rhode Island in 2015. She is excited to work with patients of all ages and abilities, and to help them reach their goals. In her free time, Micaela loves spending time with friends and family, taking her dog on adventures, and reading a good book.

Julie McGilpin PT Aide

Julie graduated from the University of Vermont in 2013 where she ran cross country and track and field. She is currently a coach at Bryant University and pursuing her master's degree online in Positive Coaching through the University of Missouri. In her free time Julie enjoys running, hiking, and cooking.

Bauer Connors, BT (Boston Terrier)

Bauer has been part of the JumpStart Team since 2013. He is a skilled clinician specializing in bones. His hobbies include chasing squirrels, running, jumping, chewing, and going on long walks. He is an avid Boston sports fan who loves home cooked meals.


Kelsey Warren

Kelsey Warren Intern MGH (Sept. 2019-2020)

Kelsey began her internship at JumpStart Physical Therapy in September 2019 and is completing her doctoral degree from MGH Institute of Health Professions in December 2019. She received her Bachelor's degree from Elon University in 2016. She grew up just outside Washington, D.C. but moved to Boston in 2016. In her free time, she loves to play tennis, cook/bake for friends and family, run, and cheer on Boston sports teams.
