Certifications: Licensed Physical Therapist, Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Therapy (APTA), Certified Emergency Medical Responder, First Aid and CPR instructor with American Red Cross., Level I Functional Dry Needling Certified, Level 1 Blood Flow Restriction Training through Smart Cuffs, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA), USA Level I Weight Lifting Club Coach

Experience: Before opening JumpStart, Dan was previously employed as a staff physical therapist at The Children’s Hospital in Boston, where he met his wife Jennifer and worked with a pediatric and adult population. During that time period he also was one of the physical therapists for the professional dancers at The Boston Ballet. He has worked with patients of all activities and abilities from birth to adult. He is a former lacrosse player who has coached from youth through high school and continues to coach club lacrosse. He also coached youth hockey for 10 years. Dan has made several television appearances, lectured to colleagues, physicians, coaches, parents, and athletic trainers on many subjects ranging from core stability, shoulder rehab, ACL injury prevention, transitioning the patient/athlete from rehabilitation to sport, plyometrics, pediatric sports physical therapy, and functional training. Dan has been a speaker at the national physical therapy conference, American Physical Therapy Association state chapter meetings, state annual conference, and co-authored Sculpting the Complete Athlete for the New Millennium an internet course for physical therapists. Dan has a special interest in treating shoulders and enjoys working with all types of athletes. He loves the outdoors Mountain Biking, Kayaking, hiking, and spending time with his wife and children. He has a son Jake, daughter Hannah, and Boston Terrier (Bauer).
